About Matthew

Matthew is a problem solver. He enjoys working on matters that have no apparent or easy solution.

Matthew has diverse experience in tax law. Prior to founding Sunits Legal he worked at a multinational accounting firm, boutique law firms and for the Australian Government Solicitor where he acted for the Commissioner of Taxation. Matthew has had the benefit of working on a large range of disputes both for and against revenue offices. This not only gives Matthew a unique insight into what can turn a dispute but also allows him to advise his front end clients in a way that appropriately balances their risks.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Law and Economics and is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia.

Matthew largely works from home so that he can be closer to his wife, his home gym and his fridge (somewhat in that order). Matthew is a serial hobbyist. He enjoys most things outdoors, including hiking, camping and scuba diving.
